A loft in Moulin du Ruy for an unforgettable moment.
Let's go back, if you like, to a little history.
Johan du Pré, called Le Moulnier, had concealed from us the existence of Mr Édouard, "Le Herdier", from whom he had acquired the house you see on the right as you reach A Vî Molin. Édouard was therefore the "Herdier de Ruy" (which means communal shepherd) and had as his task to drive the herds of the Ban of Ruy to the pastures of the surrounding area. Édouard was an old, unmarried, lonely, coarse, and withdrawn man who moved from farm to farm. Day in, day out, he drove his cattle from one pasture to another and lovingly patted their hindquarters with his stick. The children and sometimes one or two of the old men mocked him and even threw small stones at him. When "Édouard" got too old and could hardly get around, "Le Moulnier" bought his little building from him and allowed him to spend his old age there. He was the last person to live there.
So let's go in under the grape arbour. Be careful! The door is low. Let's go up the small staircase that leads straight to the kitchen. The columnar stove reminds us of the rigors of the winters of the past. The thick walls of local stone support the house. The upper walls are half-timbered; old bricks laid in a tangle of wooden beams. The large side wall, which was threatened with decay, has fortunately been replaced by a large window front. This opens onto the private terrace, which catches the sun's rays early in the morning. Deck chairs, table and chairs can be laid out with comfortable cushions!
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook. Put on your apron!... But before we start cooking, we should discover the bedroom, where a large double bed of high quality awaits you. A flat-screen TV, which Édouard has ignored until now, hangs on the wall, offering you numerous channels as well as Netflix. Just behind a tiled partition, there is an Italian shower with RITUALS cosmetic products. You are allowed to fully enjoy. But that's not all!
Behind a simple wooden door hides the best of the best: an infrared cabin "Health Mate®"- deep relaxation in perfection, a real luxury! On the terrace there is a Nordic bath, which you can heat yourself using a wood-burning stove. A feeling of well-being is guaranteed!
You are in your own home here and are completely independent. You prepare your own breakfast, but we can also deliver it to you if you order it in advance. And like all guests of "A Vî Molin", you can take part in many activities described elsewhere.
The first is the room "Catherine, relicte de Hubert de Cour", also known as the lu ptite finièsse".
The second room is the "Johan du Pré, dit le Moulnier" room and can accommodate a family of several people.
The third room is dedicated to "Martin and Franchoy", the two miller's sons. They say that the two of them have their heads in the stars.

Let's leave the rustic world of the past centuries, let's cross the eras and the park.
